Cooking measurement converter
Choose an ingredient for volume-to-weight conversions, or use temperature mode. Ingredient results are approximate because density varies.

Convert recipe quantities without mixing mass and volume
Use ingredient mode for quantities or temperature mode for Celsius and Fahrenheit. A cup measures volume; grams measure mass. Converting between them needs the selected ingredient's approximate density, so a cup of flour does not weigh the same as a cup of honey.
How to use it
- Choose ingredient mode, select the ingredient and enter the amount with its starting and destination units.
- Check the unit labels: fl oz is a volume, while oz is a mass. Cup, tablespoon and teaspoon use the tool's US measures.
- For an oven temperature, switch to temperature mode and select °C and °F in the appropriate direction. Read the updated result below the inputs.
Example
- Starting point
- Temperature mode: 180 °C, converted to °F.
- What to expect
- 356 °F. The calculation is 180 × 9 ÷ 5 + 32; it changes the temperature scale, not the oven's heating mode.
Before you start
- The tool uses a US customary cup of approximately 236.6 ml. Check the cup size specified by your recipe; there is no setting to choose a different cup size.
- Ingredient densities are fixed estimates. Packing, moisture and the ingredient variety affect mass-to-volume conversions; weigh ingredients when precision matters.
- There is no custom-density field. The temperature conversion does not adjust a recipe for fan ovens, cooking time or food safety.
