Straighten a slightly tilted scan
Correct a small scanning tilt in a PDF, JPEG, PNG or WebP. Automatic mode estimates the angle from the page image; manual mode lets you choose the correction.
How to use it
- Select one PDF or image. Start with automatic mode and the default 150 DPI resolution.
- If the result needs adjustment, use manual mode and select an angle between −15° and +15° in 0.5° steps. Resolution choices are 72, 150 and 300 DPI.
- Download the new PDF and inspect text lines and page edges against the original.
Example
- Starting point
- A single scanned PNG processed in manual mode at +2°.
- What to expect
- A one-page PDF containing the rotated scan. This illustrates the chosen operation; only inspection can confirm whether +2° corrects that particular scan.
Before you start
- The input limit is 100 MiB, with additional device-dependent limits on decoded images and pages. Sparse pages or illustrations may give poor automatic angle estimates.
- The output is an image-based PDF, including for image input. It does not add OCR or correct photographic perspective, and existing selectable PDF text is not preserved as text.
