Print several PDF pages on one sheet
Create a compact PDF for handouts by placing 2, 4, 6, 8, 9 or 16 source pages on each output page. The original pages are scaled to fit the chosen grid.
How to use it
- Select a PDF and choose the number of pages per sheet.
- Set A4 or Letter paper, orientation, outer margin and spacing. Automatic orientation uses portrait.
- Generate the PDF and inspect small text before printing. Print one output page per sheet to avoid applying the layout twice.
Example
- Starting point
- A ten-page PDF with four pages per sheet.
- What to expect
- Three output pages: pages 1–4, pages 5–8, then pages 9–10 with the remaining grid positions empty.
Before you start
- The input limit is 100 MiB. Margins and spacing are measured in PDF points, not millimetres; the default is 2 pages on portrait A4, with 20-point margins and 10-point spacing.
- More pages per sheet means smaller text. This is a grid layout, not booklet imposition, and it does not guarantee a smaller file.
